Marius Strand from Sandefjord started racing in 2015 in the GT15 class at the age of 13. His mother Beate and father Tor-Erling are both sailing enthusiasts, but for Marius powerboating is his passion.
As for Live S. Gulbrandsen also Marius Strand tried the team's GT15 boat at the age of 12, too early to be competing according to the Norwegian Motorsport Federation´s rules. Together with Marit they sat in the GT15 boat and after a few laps Marius tried on his own. Marius was hooked on powerboatracing, and after a year of testing and waiting he finally got to race his first race in 2015.
With two seasons in GT15 Marius has established a persistent driving style and is chasing his first podium finish. Marius is dedicated and understands the need to do both fysical training as well as boat testing. With the help of his parents, Marius travels up and down the Norwegian coast all summer and never misses a race or a possibility to go testing. This year he will be racing in the Norwegian Cup and Norwegian Championship of GT15.
