Joakim Halvorsen from Langesund is racing in F4. He started racing in Strømøy Racing Juniorteam in 2012 which marked his first season of powerboat racing ever.
Joakim Halvorsen born in october 1996, is a dedicated young man who eats, sleeps and dreams powerboatracing. Already from the beginning he showed a talent of racing and in his first year of racing he was 3rd in the Norwegian Cup of GT15.
In 2014 Joakim stepped up to the much faster and more advanced class of F4. With podiumfinish already on his first race of F4, he proved that he could tackle also the challenges of the F4 Catamaran and was 3rd in the Norwegian Cup the same year.
Joakim wanted more and with the connections of the team, he got the chance to race in the F4 support class on the tour with the F1 H2O World Championship in 2015. Suddenly the 18 year old Joakim was racing all over the World at the same events as his F1 heroes. With podium finishes in China and Portugal, Joakim was 3rd overall in the F4s Series.
The year after Joakim raced in the World Championship Series of F4 where he was 4th overall. His best result was a 3rd in the WC round in Germany and also at home he finished many races on the podium.
His father Magne and mother Bente are his biggest supporters and sponsor and always there as his crewmembers. Together they travel both in and outside Norway. The goal of the 2017 season is top three in the World Championship of F4 and to be in the top in the Norwegian races.
